  1. My expectations for this documentary is about a married couple and the woman is getting violence by the husband,as in the thumbnail shown a woman with red eyes and emotionless.

  2. The connotations is about a criminal

The target audience is female adult teenagers , as it's about a friendship and its 2 women,also could be mothers , as now the person that is being documented is a mother too.





  • Hand held scenes look more realistic and more intense.Make the audience feel that they are also in the film.

  • The scene is very dark which gives a scary feeling to the audience,also it's in the lower class housing where the house is not really big.

  • Quick cut as it gives more suspense to the audience and feels more locked in into the documentary.

  • Dramatic sound effects give a more intense feeling to the documentary and make the audience more interested to continue watching the documentary and also more focus into the documentary.

Why/Why not?

Yes,because it's about friendship, and the documentary is a little bit scary or horror which I like to watch in that kind of genre.

  1. About a bombing on a marathon that makes alot of poeple hurt and causes chaos.

  2. The connotatio of the documentary is crime and maybe a gloomy colour,also alot of cctvs scenes from that area.

  3. What I expect to see is maybe the bombing suspects and the victims and the conditions in that area,also I expect to hear screams and police officers' voices everywhere.

  1. The target audience could be an adult or a person who often ran a marathon.They give alot information and mystery which help to attract an audience.




  • Camera from CCTV, to add realism and the audience can know the real situation there.Also make the audience feel the real situation of the people there,could make the audience feel sorry or cry.

  • Black and mysterious set from the suspect,to make it more mysterious.Giving hermeneutic code to add mystery and attract the audience

  • Jump cut,showing alot different scene faster,like cctv scene to a drone scene into a different area.

  • Bomb sound,dramatic sound,to add tension and realism about the event shown in the documentary.

Yes,because the hermeneutic code of who is the real suspect behind the Boston Marathon Bombing makes me curious and want to watch it.

  1. About 2 married couples having a problem or fight in the household,and maybe causing one of them to die.

  2. The Image shows a 2 married couple which the documentary is about marriage,The font is also bold and uses all capital letters.

  3. I expect to see a blood and harm scene and maybe hearing the dramatic sound and the people scream or arguing and shouting.

The target audience is adults,as its documents are about a married couple with whom there is a relationship to adult life.uses real footage to engage people who liked seeing that kind of thing watch the documentary.






  1. CCTV camera from the corner of the introgation room,which gives a serious feeling making the audience to lock in into the documentary.

  2. Blood,gives the thrilling to the audience showing the expectations of the documentary,

  3. Flashback,to show how the tragedy happened to help the audience to understand about the documentary

  4. Dramatic sound,to add more tension to audience

Why/Why not?

Yes,because it's hanging on saying who's the real victim of the tragedy,making me curious to watch the documentary,as the Grandpa and the Wife said that theyre in a fight , however they dont have any wounds in their body.

  1. About 2 old couple and the women died,and the husband is the suspect,but we need to find out more about it

  2. The connotations of this documentary is killing and crime,also shows blood and dark vibes.

  3. What I expect to seee is the place that the murder happened,and hearing the conversation in the investigation room.

The target audience is an adult and married couple, or someone who liked to watch crime documentaries.And it uses hermeneutic code ,as we dont know who is the murder







  • Camera angle is unheld,which shakes when going through the house,and the graphic is distorted which gives the real vibes.

  • Mise-en-scene is a dark place,making it more thrilling and adding mystery into the documentary.

  • Editing would be a cut to the person that talks in the documentary.

  • Sound would be a dramatic sound adding tension and thrill vibes while the audience watches the documentary.

No,I'm not really interested in this kind of documentary where it's about an old married couple dying.

  1. My expectations for this documentary is about a puppet master that tricks someone and the man faced is maybe the suspect.

  2. The connotations are dark and dramatic also and from the title it could be about a scam.

  3. I expect to see the suspect and the victim of the puppet master,also the family member.

The target audience could be a family or couple that divorced already.And it used hermeneutic code to attract as its a mystery.







  • CCTV camera showing the real footage maybe showing the evidence too of the suspect and victim that is gone and missing .

  • The mise-en-scene could be dark lighting,showing clumsiness and also the family member's expression is sad,showing to the audience that they really miss their mother and makes the audience feel bad for them.

  • Editing could be a cut from every scene showing it faster to increase tension on the documentary

  • The sound is dramatic and the sound effect too,creates tension and with the sound also makes the audience lock in more into the documentary which engages them to watch it more.

Yes,because it's a mystery of what the suspect does to the victims and is not about killing and dying also show alot of blood which I dont really like to see.
